The Sherrard School Board moving forward with architectural drawings and going through the bidding process for adding a new wrestling room at the high school and installing a wood floor for the main high school gym. Superintendent Alan Boucher says proceeds from the school facility sales tax in both Mercer and Rock Island Counties would be used to fund both projects.
Boucher says a final decision could be made by October or November. With both the Mercer and Rock Island County sales tax, Sherrard will be receiving $500,000 per year.
