The suspect in a deadly shooting in East Moline has a rap sheet in Mercer County. 23 year old Roman Knox is being held on $5-million bond. He lived in Aledo at one time. Rock Island County prosecutors on Saturday charged him with murder for the shooting of 69-year-old Robert Neal Sr. East Moline Police say the two knew each other, and say a fight earlier in the day last Friday may have led to the shooting. Knox has had several cases filed against him in Mercer County in previous years—including theft, resisting a peace officer and domestic battery.
