Mercer County Sheriff Dave Staley pleased to see two prison sentences handed down in Mercer County Circuit Court this week. One case involved defendant Jesse Walsh of Sherrard, who was accused of running over Deputy Dennis Sabel.
The other case involved defendant Cainen Young of Reynolds. He was sentenced to eight-years in prison in a methamphetamine case.
Young was also ordered to pay the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department $5,000 in restitution.
