Bond Still At $500,000 For Illinois City Man Facing Felony DUI Charges In Mercer & Rock Island Counties

Bond remains at $500,000 for an Illinois City man facing Class 1 felony DUI charges in both Mercer and Rock Island Counties.  45 year old William Gorham has had his Rock Island County case continued to May 11th.  He posted 10-percent of his $50,000 bond or $5,000 cash in his Mercer County case on December 22nd, but then was arrested in late January in Rock Island County. Mercer County State’s Attorney Meeghan Lee told WRMJ in December that Gorham has four prior DUI’s on his record and one pending in Muscatine County. Gorham is also facing a Class 3 felony of possession of a firearm with a revoked FOID card and a Class 4 felony of driving while license revoked in Mercer County. He remains in custody at the Rock Island County Jail.
