State Rep. Dan Swanson
Veterans in Illinois who are suffering a physical or mental health condition are now added to an alert system that notifies law enforcement and the public when a person goes missing. Local State Representative Dan Swanson sponsored the legislation, which has been signed into law by Governor Bruce Rauner.
House Bill 4212, passed unanimously out of the Illinois House and Senate and will provide a mechanism for law enforcement to immediately respond to a missing veteran or active duty military member.
