A proposed resolution giving local school districts the option to arm trained staff members was narrowly turned down by voting delegates from the Illinois Association of School Boards over the weekend. The measure was supported by the Mercer County School Board and Unit 404 Board of Education President Julie Wagner spoke with WRMJ News Director Jim Taylor this morning.
