An Aledo woman ordered to pay the Mercer County Athletic Booster Club $50,000 in restitution. That was part of a negotiated plea announced today in Mercer County Circuit Court involving 44 year old Angie Dellitt. Formal sentencing is set for January 22nd. She pleaded guilty to a Class 2 felony of theft—alleging unauthorized control of between $10,000 and $100,000 and using the said funds for hotel rooms, restaurants, meals and other personal items. A similar Class 2 felony theft charge involving the Mercer County School District has been dismissed as part of the agreement. Dellitt will also be placed on 30-months’ probation and serve 20 days in the Mercer County Jail with the balance of a 120-day jail term stayed as long as she complies with terms of the sentencing, which includes a mental health evaluation. $20,000 of the restitution has already been paid, according to Mercer County State’s Attorney Meeghan Lee. Dellitt was arrested last August and has been free on $30,000 bond. She formerly served as both the booster club’s treasurer and the school district’s bookkeeper.
