Keithsburg Riverside Campground among 89 park projects throughout the state receiving grant funding. They’ll receive just over $140,000 for improvements. Overall, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources is awarding more than $29-million statewide says DNR spokesperson Ed Cross.
The Rock Island County Forest Preserve District is receiving $400,000 for camping improvements at Loud Thunder and the Village of Orion is getting $34,000 for an addition at Love Park.
