A grand opening date has been set for the new Edwards River Public Library in Aledo. It will be Saturday, April 27th. Currently, shelving has arrived and is being assembled. Once that is complete, books will be un-boxed and shelved before the grand opening. Volunteers are welcome to help with shelving. Weather permitting, parking and sidewalks will continue to be poured. Also, the library has announced that director Catherine Worsley is retiring on April 30th. The library board expects to name her replacement later this month.
