An emotional Saturday for students, staff and families at Apollo Elementary School. A memorial tree was planted on the school’s playground in honor of 9-year old Calvin Smith. Warrior Calvin died last July after a courageous battle with cancer. Among the speakers was Jen Murphy.
Apollo principal Bill Fleuette also spoke about Calvin Saturday morning.
A memorial bench will also be placed near the tree in honor of Calvin.
