Bond has been set at $100,000 for a New Boston man arrested in a criminal sexual assault investigation. 25 year old Joshua Masters faces a Class 1 felony. He was taken into custody after Mercer County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a 911 call in New Boston on Sunday. The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the New Boston Police Department and Illinois State Police Crime Scene Services. A preliminary hearing is set for June 15th. Masters is in custody at the Mercer County Jail.
