In June, Dan Diamond lost his job as Orion head wrestling coach. Last week, the Orion School Board failed to rehire him for the position and then last night, hired him back as assistant wrestling coach.
Diamond was hired as assistant coach on a 4-0 vote with two abstentions. He has been with the Orion wrestling program for 35 years. Diamond is retiring from teaching and coaching at the end of next school year.
