The Aledo City Council approves another downtown Aledo revitalization project. Aldermen have okayed extending $40,000 in TIF funding for the $80,000 project at the Mercer County Family Eye Care storefront. The city is also moving forward with a branding campaign as a North Carolina firm has been retained to do that work says Mayor pro tem Mike Chausse.
Haven Creative is being paid $18,000 for the branding campaign.
Also this week, the Aledo City Council approved purchasing six new body cameras for the Aledo Police Department, totaling $6,300.
