Governor Announces New Statewide Rule; Requires Bar & Restaurant Patrons To Wear A Mask When Interacting With Staff

A new statewide rule announced Tuesday requires bar and restaurant customers to wear a mask when interacting with staff. Governor J.B. Prtzker says with COVID-19 numbers increasing, the new requirement is meant to protect workers and help slow the spread of the virus.

Patrons must already wear a mask in a bar or restaurant unless they are eating or drinking at a table or up at the bar.
