The Aledo City Council offers support for another residential development. Aldermen heard from Brad Krstic at a committee meeting this week. He plans to develop 15 lots called Breezy Acres and has had preliminary discussions with Director of Public Works Justin Blaser.
The city has also been in discussions involving another development, Sponsler Manor Subdivision, which includes 41 lots. City Administrator Chris Sullivan says the city would have enough money in the gas and water and sewer funds to install utility mains at both developments over a phased in approach.
The total investment for the city over several years for the Sponsler development would be around $1.2 million with the Breezy Acres development estimated at upwards of $500,000.
