A New Windsor man awaiting trial on child porn charges has had his case continued again. 60-year-old James Pierson appeared in Mercer County Circuit Court Tuesday for a pre-trial conference with the matter continued to May 3. The delay was attributed to the defense. Pierson faces three Class X felonies stemming from his arrest in February of 2020 following an investigation involving the Illinois State Police, Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, Kewanee Police Department, New Windsor Police Department, and the Illinois Attorney General’s office along with federal authorities. Pierson remains in the Mercer County Jail on $500,000 bond.
