A plea date has been set for a Viola man in custody on sexual assault charges. 43-year-old David Lee Richardson faces Class X and Class 1 felonies. The charges involve a child under the age of 13. The Aug. 10 date was set during a pre-trial conference Monday morning in Mercer County Circuit Court. Richardson remains in the Mercer County Jail on $200,000 bond. He was arrested on a warrant in January.
