A fundraiser set for this weekend to benefit the Mercer County honor marker program. Organizer Jay Doherty says the effort is getting help from the Mercer County VFW.
If you can’t make the fundraiser Friday night, you can still contribute to the cause. Doherty says donations can be mailed to the Aledo American Legion, 2000 State Highway 17, Aledo, IL 61231. Write “honor marker” in the check’s memo field.
