We heard about the latest chapter of WRMJ’s legacy this week with the sale of the station from John Hoscheidt to W.J. Albertson and Rusty Dunn. The first chapter was back in June of 1979 when WRMJ signed on under original owner — the late Roger Coleman. Here’s the story behind the call letters.
Coleman died in August of 2020. Hoscheidt and a group of investors would acquire the station in 1983 before John assumed sole ownership in 1993. The sale to Albertson and Dunn became final earlier this week.
