New Windsor Man’s Attempted Murder Cases Continued To Next Year As Court Awaits Evaluation

Another fitness evaluation ordered for a New Windsor man charged in separate attempted murder cases in Mercer County. The request was made Tuesday in Mercer County Circuit Court by the attorney representing 32-year-old Trenton Deshane. A status hearing has been set for March 4.
Deshane has been in the Mercer County Jail since July 25. He was arrested following a shooting investigation in New Windsor where a victim was discovered with two gunshot wounds.
In August, he was charged following an incident while in custody at the jail, according to Mercer County State’s Attorney Grace Simpson.
Deshane’s bond is $750,000 in the shooting case and $500,000 in the jail incident. He remains in custody.
