Rhubarb Fest founder Darlene Johnson has passed away. She died Wednesday morning. What a legacy she created with Aledo’s trademark event, which started in the early ’90s. This was Darlene speaking to WRMJ in 2019 when a record number of pies were sold.
Darlene chaired the event through 2016. Speer Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
