The Mercer County School Board evaluating an expansion at Mercer County High School. The subject will be discussed at a special facilities meeting this week. The district is looking at anywhere between 13 and 29 classrooms, with estimated costs between $15 and $20 million. Superintendent Scott Petrie spoke with WRMJ about the potential expansion following a board meeting last November.
Another phase could involve a gym with bleacher seating for 300, wrestling room, and locker rooms. No final decisions have been made as the board will continue discussions.
A special facilities meeting is set for Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Mercer County Junior High Music Room.
