Swanson Explains Education Compromise Bill

State Rep. Dan Swanson

Local State Representative Dan Swanson feels a true compromise has been reached with Senate Bill 1947–the education funding reform bill. The measure was passed by the Senate this afternoon and was sent to the Governor to be signed.  On Monday, the House voted in favor of the bill, which Swanson says includes four major provisions.

Swanson says the Mercer County School District could receive $240,000 in additional funding, Sherrard $100,000 and United $36,000.
