The Illinois Department of Natural Resources managed site of Mississippi River Pool 17 near New Boston will be open to youth hunting during the Illinois Youth Firearm Deer Hunt next month. The season is October 7th through 9th and IDNR’s Ed Cross says youth hunters must be under 18.
