Probable cause found in a Seaton man’s preliminary hearing on a criminal sexual abuse charge. 68 year old Gary Melton is facing a Class 4 felony in connection with an alleged incident last June. He pleaded not guilty to the charge today in Mercer County Circuit Court with a pre-trial conference scheduled for December 4th. The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department arrested Melton last week following a complaint involving a child. He is free on $30,000 bond.
