Memorial Day services set for Aledo, Eliza Creek Cemetery and Drury Reynolds Cemetery. The Aledo American Legion’s Jay Doherty details Memorial Day in Aledo.
Memorial Day services will also be held at the Union Church at the Eliza Creek Cemetery on Monday. Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. The service will be held in the church, followed by the reading of the Roll Call of Veterans. Those attending are then asked to follow the flag bearers and proceed through the cemetery to decorate the graves. The address will be delivered by George Howard, member of the American Legion.
On Sunday at the Drury Reynolds Cemetery, there will be a community potluck beginning at 12:30 p.m., followed by a Memorial Day service that begins at 1:30 p.m.
