There has been a delay in the sentencing hearing for an Aledo man in a sex assault case. 21 year old Gunner Terry was set to be sentenced Tuesday in Mercer County Circuit Court, but the matter has been continued to July 11th due to a scheduling conflict. Terry faces up to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to a Class X felony of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child in late March. He originally faced five Class X felony counts stemming from alleged incidents involving two children under the age of 13. Terry was arrested in April of 2017 and remains in custody at the Mercer County Jail on $250,000 bond.
