One of the state’s largest school districts in terms of geography seeking a new Director of Transportation. It’s Rockridge as Brandy Andrews has submitted her letter of resignation. The district, which covers just over 175 square miles, is actively searching for a replacement. During the interim, Andalusia Elementary principal Mike Ruff will oversee the daily operations of the Rockridge transportation program. The district is also seeking substitute and full-time bus drivers. The next training session will be Wednesday, October 10th, and Thursday, October 11th, at the Rock Island Regional Office of Education from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. each day.
