A Viola man arrested for unlawful use of weapons. 49 year old Michael Carlin was taken into custody Friday night. According to a Mercer County Sheriff’s Department press release, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle in rural Viola and located a loaded firearm. Carlin was transported to the Mercer County Jail and was given a notice to appear. He was released pending his initial court appearance.
