It’s the only game in town on July 4th in Aledo. The Dr. Charles Ford Memorial Frog Races are set for Thursday morning at Aledo Central Park. 1988 Aledo grad Wayne Bennett never misses. He now resides and teaches in Johnsburg, Illinois.
Registration for the frog races begin at 9 a.m. Thursday with the races starting at 10.
The Mercer County Community Band performs at Noon at the central park band shell under the direction of Rusty Ruggles.
There will be no Aledo Main Street Farmers Market on Thursday due to the 4th holiday.
