Mercer County hunters harvest 788 deer during the two firearm weekends. 521 were brought in the first weekend Nov. 22-24 and another 267 during the final four-day period Dec. 5-8. This year’s total Mercer County firearm deer harvest is less than last year’s 852.
Henry County hunters killed 407 during the two weekends, Henderson County 406, Knox County 1,084, Rock Island County 602 and Warren County 464.
Statewide, the two-firearm weekend deer harvest total was 75,349, which is over 5,000 less than last year’s 80,957.
