A Mercer County child porn defendant is being allowed to travel to Indiana for three days. Judge Peter Church made that ruling Monday in Mercer County Circuit Court concerning 45-year-old James Eric Haley of Viola. Haley must check in with Mercer County probation officers before leaving and when he returns. He is awaiting trial on 16 felony counts. His pre-trial has been continued to September 14th. Haley was arrested last August and was released on a $500,000 recognizance bond in early March. The 16 felony counts are in connection with allegations involving a 15-year-old girl.
