Darvion Jawar Lard
The Rock Island Police Department has issued an arrest warrant in the shooting death of a Sherrard teen. 16 year old Dylan McCalester was killed last week. Rock Island Police are seeking the whereabouts of 21 year old Darvion Jawar Lard. He is wanted on First Degree Murder charges and is considered armed and dangerous.
On Tuesday, December 15th at 6:52 p.m., Rock Island officers responded to the 600 block of 42nd Avenue in reference to reports of a two-vehicle accident with injuries. It was subsequently determined that the driver of one of the involved vehicles was McCalester and he had sustained a gunshot wound prior to the crash. The teen was transported from the scene by ambulance to Unity Point Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
