Mercer County split their baseball and softball regional openers. The Golden Eagles softball team rallied with two runs in the bottom of the eighth to beat Knoxville at the Apollo Diamond. In baseball, Mercer County had the tying run on third in the top of the seventh but couldn’t get him in as Rockridge held on for the victory.
