A former employee of the village of Matherville has been arrested for theft and official misconduct. Roland E. Hartman was taken into custody on a warrant Monday. A press release from the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department says the investigation “revealed a pattern of long-term theft in excess of $100,000.” Hartman is being held in the Mercer County Jail on $100,000 bond.
