An Alexis man found guilty during a criminal sexual assault trial in Mercer County Circuit Court. The jury returned guilty verdicts to four Class 1 felony counts filed against 52-year-old Robert Breshears Jr. The jury deliberated for over an hour after two days of testimony. Breshears was arrested on a warrant in September of 2020 stemming from allegations involving a female between the ages of 13 and 18. A sentencing date has not been scheduled. Breshears remains free on bond.
