The IHSA girls basketball postseason continued with regional semi-finals Monday. At the 2A Bureau Valley Regional, Monmouth-Roseville (25-6) beat Hall 55-30. Mattie Gillen paced the Titans with 18 points. Monmouth-Roseville will play Princeton Thursday.
At the 1A Wethersfield Regional, Annawan (24-7) topped the host Flying Geese (20-13) 56-33. The Bravettes were led by Kaylee Celus with 19 points. Wethersfield junior Kennady Anderson scored 15 points in the loss, including her 1,000th career point. Annawan will take on the defending state champion Brimfield Indians Thursday.
West Central (19-13) advanced to the championship game of the 1A Brown County Regional with a 67-55 win against Lewistown. Shelby Bowman scored 35 points in the victory. The Heat play Brown County Friday.
