Mercer County (22-5) set a single-season school record for wins in softball with an 8-0 victory against West Hancock Monday. Elsie Cook and Hallie Schreurs combined to no-hit the Titans. Madi Frieden drove in three runs in the win. Natalie Thomson added a pair of RBI.
The Golden Eagles (12-12, 7-1 Lincoln Trail Conference) clinched a share of the LTC West Championship with a doubleheader sweep of A-Town 9-1, 8-0 in baseball Monday. Carson Boelens and Kale Breeden were the winning pitchers for Mercer County. Owen Relander went 3-3 with a home run and 3 RBI in game two.
