A Number Of Projects To Impact Aledo In 2024

Several updates involving Aledo projects. It looks like a housing addition has stalled—Sponsler Manor, Third Addition in the northeast section of town.

The city approved an agreement in April of 2021, committing to install gas, water, and sewer mains to help spur the development. The proposed housing development called for a total of 43 lots spread out over three phases. As part of the development agreement, the city assumed ownership of Sponsler Lake.

Mayor Chris Hagloch says 2024 will be a busy public works season—with street and multi-use path projects.

And the Aledo Central Park area will be getting an overhaul.

And private fundraising continues for an aquatics center in Aledo, to be constructed at the former Farmers Grain & Coal site.
