A Dollar Tree store is still planned for Aledo, but the formal TIF agreement has yet to be approved by the full city council. The TIF Committee has okayed the deal and Mayor Chris Hagloch says the city is just awaiting final sign-off from the developers.
The store will be built just west of Midwest Bank of Western Illinois. The TIF Committee has agreed reimbursing the developer up to $350,000 in TIF eligible expenses for the project.
