The City of Aledo seeking a USDA Rural Business Development grant. The program is designed to serve historic downtown business districts and support targeted technical assistance, training and other activities leading to the development and expansion of small and emerging private businesses in rural areas that have fewer than 50 employees and less than $1-million in gross revenues. Mayor Chris Hagloch says the grant would provide Aledo another economic development tool.
Notification of approval wouldn’t be until August or September.
