City of Aledo public works employees looking to form a union. The Aledo City Council heard from Karl Drapeaux this week. He serves as Business Representative/Organizer for the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150.
Also this week, the Aledo City Council set fall clean-up days for October 18th through the 23rd with four dumpsters placed at the Public Works Garage located at 309 East Main Street. And aldermen accepted a $44,000 bid for sidewalk replacement at Bowlyou’s Ice Cream and Grill. And another $19,000 will be spent on various asphalt projects, including areas near the Mercer County YMCA and Compeer Financial.
