Two Mercer County veterans among 200 statewide being honored next week during the Illinois Bicentennial bash. Daren Dietmeier and Nick Seefeld are being recognized under the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs and Illinois Bicentennial Office’s Honor 200 program. Stuart Layne is with the Illinois Bicentennial Office.
The Illinois Bicentennial celebration is Monday, Dec. 3 at the United Center in Chicago.
