Mercer County residents opened their hearts and their wallets to support the fight against the cancer Monday. This year’s Relay For Life of Mercer County Radiothon raised $11,091. The money will go to research, prevention, detection, education, and patient support. Many people who called and donated did so in honor of loved ones who have been diagnosed with cancer. This year, Relay for life of Mercer County had a table outside our downtown College Avenue Studios in Aledo. Many dropped off locations at that table and also at The Depot in New Windsor and Rocky’s in New Boston. The Depot gave 10% of proceeds and Spanky’s Meat Wagon donated 20% of his proceeds and all of his tips.
