Mercer Township is having an appraisal prepared for the former Mercer Carnegie Library. The building, owned by the township, has been vacant since late March prior to the new Edwards River Public Library opening. Once the appraisal is complete, then specifications will be drawn up for the property to be put up for bid. The building was constructed in 1915 and sits within the Aledo’s TIF district.
