One person injured in an ATV accident over the weekend. It happened Saturday along Illinois Route 17 west of Viola. According to a Mercer County Sheriff’s Department report, a 24-year-old male had been driving a Suzuki 4-wheeler with three juvenile passengers on board. Deputies say the ATV was being driven along a ditch and attempted to ascend an embankment when it rolled over, landing on the adult operator and causing injuries to his face and head. He was transported from the scene by ambulance. The juvenile passengers were not injured.
