Be Patient Waiting For COVID Vaccine, Demand Is High Says MCHD’s Ewing

Mercer County Health Department Administrator Carla Ewing hopeful that COVID-19 vaccine shipments increase in the coming weeks. Demand has been high for the vaccine locally with February clinics already filled up.

Ewing provides an update each Wednesday morning on the WRMJ Focus program at 9:20. Information is also released through the department’s website at mchdil.com and also their Facebook page.

Currently, those 65 and over and frontline essential workers are being vaccinated. There are 5,000 people in that category in Mercer County.
