Betty M. Fullerton, 87 of Keithsburg, Illinois died Thursday, October 27, 2022 at home. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, November 2, at Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo. There will be a private family service and burial in Aledo Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left for Beacon of Hope Hospice or Keithsburg First Christian Church.
Betty was born in Aledo, Illinois on February 22, 1935 to Earl and Virginia Goodman Fortner. She married George Elas, from this union were three daughters, they later divorced. Betty and Ron Fullerton were married in 1976. She was a registered nurse, retiring from Mercer County Hospital. Betty was a member of Keithsburg First Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband: Ron; daughters: LuAnn (Bill) Olson, Barbara (Alexander) Gourlay, and Diane (Richard) Young; step-son: Rob Fullerton; grandchildren: Ian Olson, Lauren (Jeff) Rumburg, Jonathan (Eugenia) Gourlay, Elizabeth Gourlay, Graham Young, and Griffin Young; step-granddaughters: Kasara Fullerton and Krista Fullerton; and sister-in-law: Kathleen Fortner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Robert Fortner; and nephew: Jeffery Fortner.
