Mercer County went on the road to Knoxville Wednesday night to meet one of the top teams in western Illinois and came up short in girls basketball. In boys action, Ridgewood downed A-Town. On the mats, Rockridge lost a tight dual with Alleman. The Sherrard Tigers 7th grade girls team advanced to state with a win over Knoxville.
