Could cats have to be registered in Mercer County? The subject was on the Mercer County Board’s Animal Control Committee agenda this week under new business. Mercer County Board Chairman Carlos Sarabasa tells WRMJ he is neutral on the issue right now, but wants more information on fee structure and how enforcement would work. The county board previously debated the issue in 2016 but heard major opposition from the general public. The full county board meets in regular session on Dec. 3.
